In late 2024, my mother got some of the worst news we could have imagined. Three days before Christmas it was confirmed she had early stage infiltrating ductal carcinoma. What should have been one of the worst periods of my family's life turned into such an amazing period of growth and closeness we didn't have before this. My mother was helped out by MANY amazing non-profits that helped make her diagnosis a little easier. Our favorite and one that was especially unique was called Hope Totes. Without having to pay a dime, my mom received a bag to take to the hospital with her, a blanket, a hat, a binder for medical work to be organized, and a lot more you can read about in the link provided!
I wanted to give money to a non-profit that I knew first hand was going to a good cause, to something that actually helped my family and my mother. Comfort is something that can be easily overlooked when it comes to cancer and treatment.
